The Benefits of Hybrid Learning: Hybrid vs Traditional Learning
Published - July 25, 2024
Not sure you have the time to complete an education? The good news is that CBD College offers online Bachelor’s degree programs and hybrid programs in medical sonography, MRI, OTA, PTA, and surgical tech. So, what is the difference between a hybrid and traditional learning environment?
What is a Hybrid Educational Program?
In a traditional classroom, students attend lectures in person sitting in front of an instructor that is offering a curriculum about an educational program. There are also online educational programs where students attend class virtually. However, a hybrid learning approach is vital, especially with healthcare programs where hands-on training is mandatory. Practicing physical therapy with a patient or administering an ultrasound at home is hard. These are essential skills that you can only learn in person. So, the hybrid learning approach offers classroom lectures in the comfort of your home and clinical lab time, performing the procedures under the strict supervision of an instructor. It’s the best of both worlds.
What are the Benefits of Hybrid Learning?
There are many benefits to attending a hybrid program. These benefits include:
Virtual Classroom
No commute is necessary for classroom lectures. Turn on your computer and access your video conferencing software to attend class. Listen to your instructor teach the day’s lessons and watch recordings of lectures on your time.
Hands-On Experience
The best part about a hybrid program is that you still get essential hands-on experience in healthcare. You can work with patients utilizing your physical or occupational therapy knowledge, under the strict supervision of your instructor. The instructor can offer direct feedback to help you hone your skills.
Complete Curriculum
The virtual curriculum is the same as you would get by attending online. We don’t cut corners, and neither should you. Your education is crucial to your success as a medical professional.
