CBD College Celebrates Its Students With New Orleans Mardi Gras Bash!
Kings, jesters, and masqueraders paraded in February’s Mardi Gras CBD College Student Appreciation Day. On Tuesday, February 28th (better known as Fat Tuesday), students were led by program to experience the transformation of their auditorium into Bourbon Street during its most festive time of the year. Students participated in games and-most importantly- ate food.
Parade of Fools
Between the food, décor, and games, everyone was a Rex. There was a station to make- your- own mask. Bold students played customary New Orleans games including Spoon the Balloon and Bead Toss, while traditional Creole jazz and big band echoed through the auditorium. Those in good spirit were given a free dress day, beads, and a free nacho lunch!
Lastly, Dr. S. bestowed Awards and Certificates to those with Academic Achievement and Perfect Attendance. A photographer was present, and there was also a step- and- repeat banner to capture the lively and regal times.
