Choosing this option will enable the graduates to enter the nursing field as a Licensed Vocational Nurse upon completion of the course and obtaining licensure.

At the completion of the program, the graduate vocational nurse will recognize the physical, social and emotional needs of the client and family. By utilizing the nursing process, the graduate will actively participate in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating safe, competent nursing care.

Completion of the General Education requirements for the AAS Degree program will help transfer to an educational program for Registered Nursing, when a student chooses to continue climbing the career ladder. The award of transfer credit is at the discretion of other institutions and is not guaranteed.
